La-Z-Boy’s handle recline mechanism allows a unique relaxation experience. The backrest and footrest work totally independently to allow a personalised reclining position. A ratchet mechanism allows the user to comfortably slide the seat forward while the backrest moves in harmony with the body, meaning the lumbar region is fully supported at all times. The three-position handle can then be utilised to select a comfortable footrest angle.
The handle itself is branded and is available in a wood or chrome finish, for further personalisation.
The structural integrity of the La‑Z‑Boy® frame is something to brag about. Only the best materials are used, especially when it comes to motion furniture. Unlike some recliners, La‑Z‑Boy® only uses Multi Plywood with a thickness of 18mm for extra durability and flexibility to support the constant movement of the chair. La‑Z‑Boy® uses superior Radiata Pine, which is extremely strong as the trees are left to grow for 20 years as opposed to 6-8 years for standard Pine.
